Our Mission

All children are naturally curious and love to learn; we support this innate drive by providing environments that meet children’s developmental needs, by creating a staff of loving and well-prepared adults and by building a community of families that actively support our mission.

We hold a deep respect for each child as a unique individual. We aid the development of the whole child—social, emotional, intellectual, physical—while fostering the child’s independence and self-formation. This is accomplished by creating an environment that can unlock the inherent potentials and intelligences within each child.

We embrace the Montessori pedagogy, which is based on universal principles of child development. In addition, we look to accepted current research to inform our evolving understanding of human development. Because we recognize the many differences in learning rates and styles, we individualize each child’s school experience for the fullest development of his or her potential. We value cooperation over competition and believe that each child’s work and behavior should be evaluated on his or her inherent capacity rather than by comparison.
